Not literally of course, but I have been listening to her tape series--Energetics of Healing; Channeling Grace; Energy Anatomy; and Now Defy Gravity. Carolyn Myss is a medical intuitive who worked closely with Dr. Norm Sheely for many years. She lived with the nuns for over 21 years, has her PhD and is totally a no nonsense. It is great to be able to take this knowledge into my practice. Lately I have been telling my clients about this and I want you to also think of this and take this seriously because it truly makes sense. What are you energetically financing? Think about this--we are all made up of energy and we only have so much of it. Where is your energy going and who are you financing and what is that doing to your health? Let's say that you have a childhood trauma that you have not really gotten over and it is getting 30% of your energy; job trauma 30%; negative response about your self 10% , past fears common negativity 30% and there is no energy left for you to live on so the energy has to come from somewhere so it comes from your cell tissue and when that happens you run into maligancy. The above are actual biofeedback readings of a client of mine before having ReikiMassage and after having ReikiMassage. I had no idea she was going directly to Biofeedback after leaving my office until she came to her next session and told me. There are significant differences in the two readings. It is almost as if she came alive. She was able to open up and release tension. You can see from the box on the upper right has much more activity in it then before. The very top two boxes are her heart rate. I feel so blessed to have the actual readings of before my treatment and after my treatment. A bit of concrete evidence of the power of Reiki.

People often ask me when I am doing hands on healing on them, "How do you know that?". What happens during a hands on healing is that I can assess your energy field. I am sure that you agree that we are all made up of energy, right, right. OK so what happens is I read your energy field. The information I get from you comes to me in different ways, sometimes symbols, sometimes pictures, sometimes just a knowing and also a feeling in my body. Sometimes I take what I call a "hit" in my heart or other part of my body. That happens because I am also an empath. I can actually feel your pain in my body "at times" not all of the time. It helps me to understand you better. You dont have to believe in what I do, BUT having a good connection with me helps. I
have had clients inwhich I could not get a reading at all, mostly because I will relay the information that I am getting and they will deny it--hmmm--my system says it is not right and I shut down. I dont want to go any further and why should I? I think to myself--if they dont want to heal and they are lying to me that means that they are lying to themselves and it isnt going to fly.

Trusting yourself and your therapist is the first step in the healing process.

People everywhere are getting alternative therapy. Seriously--do not wait any longer to get on the path to healing. It is so sweet! I would say "wicked sweet', but you might get the wrong idea.

Honesty....................

I just feel the need to talk about this for a moment here. I sometimes wonder about this subject so much in myself and in others. Truth and honesty go hand and hand to me and as honest as I tell myself I am, I find it difficult to "bare my soul" to someone else. Maybe because I am afraid to show another person that I am not perfect, I have struggled to get where I am, struggled to become who I am, that I work hard and never ever expect a hand out, that I continue on a daily basis to strive to be the best I can be, to set a wonderful example for my children and my peers. That I am not perfect and that I have made mistakes. Just to even say it--seriously, but yet that is how we learn. My passions run deep and flow freely that is the drive to become a better person. Maybe we do not share with others so much anymore because they are incredibly judgmental and egotistical and compare themselves instead of looking within themselves to find the comfort that so desperately need within themselves. Through the confidential process of trusting another, we are able to heal on very deep levels--first the trust must be there for the energy exchange to happen. The healing is deeper and more profound the willingness to let go and just trust. Helping to illuminate the issues so that they can be healed allowing us to become free of our limited way of thinking.

Just for today, I will not worry.

Life has been so interesting lately. I must admit that I am a "practitioner" so new things happen all of the time partly because each and every client brings their own energy with them, but sometimes they also bring the energy of others. (This makes my work super interesting to me. ) The others may include family members that have passed on to the other side. My perceptions are getting stronger and one day I will be able to have a clear communication with loved ones on the other side. It is very natural to me and anyone who has lost someone close knows exactly what I am talking about here. They have most likely had some communication with their loved one. I hear stories all of the time. Sometimes the energy of others is good and most times it is, but there is an occasion that the energy seems to have the feeling they are helping their loved one, but in reality they are not. They are actually a hinderance to a peaceful life without realizing it. So if you are communicating with your lost loved one just know this--they hear you loud and clear.

I can not wait to get a massage!!!!! My intention was to go every other week and now it has been a month and my body feels it especially since I haven't been exercising like I should. I love to get a hot stone massage with aroma therapy. It is such a huge stress reducer. My therapist does not do the crystal layouts so I have to do that myself and the energy work, but this week!!!!! I get two massages----one hot stone and one tuning fork/intuitive massage!!!!! Believe me I need this my life has been stressful--I am under a huge economic stress. Massage is just a sweet combination of many healing modalities. Not only does my body feel better, my spirit does too and if both don't feel good when i get off the table, I contemplate going back. I am finding myself thinking of fall already. I have been putting together some new ritual treatments for the fall and winter and I am looking forward to the experience that you all will feel. I dont know about some of you, but I seem to have gotten off track on my eating and exercising habits this summer. The ice cream really seems to have gotten to me. Hey it is icecream season!!! So once again I am going to get myself back on track. In the long run I feel so much better when I am exercising. I have so much more stamina and endurance for my day. But I am human and sometimes I just say what the hell and eat whatever I want and get busy with my projects I dont take time really for myself. Am I stuffing my emotions? Maybe. Sometimes I think that I have stuffed so much under the rug that I can't get around it any longer and I have to deal with. I like what Oprah said in this month's issue of her magazine--What I know for Sure located in the back of her magazine. She says, "The real excavation process-digging deep to uncover the underlying issues--feels a lot like trying to shovel through Kilimanjaro. I keep hitting rock. What I have discovered, though: Rocks unattended turn into mounds, and then mountains. And it's our job to do daily cleanups--in our work, our family, our relationships, our finances, our health and well being. Ignoring problems is easier, for sure, but if we take even tiny steps to address them those steps eventually become giant leaps on the journey to self-actualization. Reaching your potential is more than an ideal. It is the ultimate goal." I totally agree with this. I think that I move forward and get so far and then I take a few steps back, then I move forward again, but all of the while getting farther and farther ahead even with the steps back. What is Reikimassage? ReikiMassage is just that Reiki and Massage combined to provide the ultimate in healing. Reiki is a form of hands on healing. The idea is that the hands of the energy practioner are placed on the clients energy centers on their body (called "Chakras") and healing energy is then used the way that it is needed to help the person feel balanced. Power Animals--are animals that come into your life that have meaning. I have studied shamanism for the past 8 years or so and one thing that is so wonderful is the "power animal". Your power animal is just that it can give you strength. I have a few and then I always take note of the animals that I see in nature. Often times they say if it comes up three times (and especially if you are journeying for someone to find their power animal) then it is for you. Well I always pay close attention to the animals in my area--a few years ago--I saw a bobcat at least 2 x, that was a rare occurrence--seriously and I felt very blessed in a major way. Well today--OMG--I saw only about 1/4 mile from my house--2 baby cubs AND the momma bear--standing on her hind legs looking right at my car!!!!!!! One of the cubs was climbing the tree and the other had just got down when I got there. The Keynote for the bear as noted in Animal Speak by Ted Andrews is Awakening the Power of the Unconscious. Bear also teaches us to go within and awaken the potentials inherent, the tree serves as a reminder that we must bring what we awaken out into the world and apply it--make our marks with it. Anyone with a bear totem should keep the cub in themselves alive and occasionally climb trees--if only to get a clear perspective. They also have a fondness for honey. Honey is the natural sweetness of life. It is a reminder for those with the totem to go within to awakened the power , but only by bringing it out in the open and applying it will the honey of life by tasted. If you would like to know what your power animal is, I can journey for you. Wow what a day.

Spring is finally here! I havent updated my blog in quite some time. The cancer cd seems to be working as between that and the detox tea I have been drinking my body went through a small detox session. Getting a spiritual healing last week was so wonderful and healing for me. This cd is powerful and I am hoping to continue with it this week. I got off track with all of my lifes "stuff". Just a short note to let you know that right now I have been exploring the options for cancer patients to go with or without their chemotherapy treatments. One of the most healing things that I have found is Mind-Body Self Hypnosis Cancer CD. WOW---I am so excited about this. The CD is in two parts with Track 1--Boosting Your Immune System and Fighting Cancer and Track 2 is Uncovering Repressed Emotions. I am using it to boost my immune system and doing some of the emotional release exercises. The emotional release part is not easy work, but I have found the entire CD to be very healing. The author is from New Zeland so his voice is calming yet firm and pleasant to listen to. One more fabulous thing for me to sell!

I dont know about you, but I am so ready for warm weather!!! I am sitting here surrounded by garden seeds and bulbs. This year I have decided to change things in my garden, by adding quite a few different varities of vegetables and flowers. My garden has been traditionally filled with Dahilas and this year I will not grow quite so many. It has been how my life is lately--changing. Change is good. I think that we get so used to doing something in the same way all of the time that it doesnt even enter our minds to make changes. Well this year it has been a time of a lot of big changes in my life-personal and business. In addition to losing 25 lbs (still more to go) I trademarked ReikiMassage and soon I will be selling a few select items at Divine Light Healing Arts Studio. I am planning on selling some fun jewelry, a few hand picked crystals, essential oils and bath salts, and just some of my favorite things I find when I am out and about. I also will start healing classes in the early to late fall. It is very exciting to me (my work does that to me) to see changes in my clients. Their lives are getting fuller and richer and they are becoming themselves in a deeper more profound way. Allowing themselves just to "be" and taking care of themselves. Life is really good and it is going to get so much better in the months to come for everyone. Have a super excellent day!

I had huge revelation this week while working on a client. During my two-year Apprentice course people would always tell me "trust" and "don't force it" and "know". When I work in a person's energy I go in very deep. I want a miracle to take place. I want to faciliate a healing and to find the source of the problem. But I realized this week as I was working and doing my "going in really deep", that I don't have to "try" so hard. That the information comes when I am more relaxed and letting the information flow and not attached to the outcome of the healing. It also feels softer and not so forced. It was my revelation. It felt really good and the intution was very accurate. My client of course is the true healer of themselves. Their connection to their god source is a beautiful link to help them heal they just need to open to their own Divine Light within.

What if.........

Spring is a time of renewal and change. What if you pushed yourself just a little bit harder than you normally do? Take yourself one more step further than you normally go? I did that yesterday. I was on my treadmill and my normal distance is 2 to 3 miles, but yesterday I stayed on for 5 miles. It took me longer, but I know I am better for it. Take yourself at least one step further for at least a week and see how you feel. Maybe it is with your diet, your exercise, or your work. Whatever it is push yourself this week and enjoy the benefits!

LOVE

Just for today try to feel with your heart chakra. The color associated with the heart chakra is green. I love to work with the heart chakra and after my hands on healing there; I place a wonderful stone-aqua marine and rose quartz and I have lots of stones, tiny green hearts sometimes I put a clear qrtz there or a lithium quartz. The heart tells so much. Sometimes while working on a client I am flooded with sadness and pain. Bringing the heart back into balance is a beautiful journey. I believe the heart is right at the core of many issues. Sometimes the heart chakra is totally shut off and there is no flow of energy there. That is seldom but does cause one a bit of concern. I believe that all things are healed with love and it begins with love for ourselves. Loving ourselves enough to take care of ourselves with the pure and simple practice of reiki massage.

Take Care of Your Health Now or Pay for Sickness Later

I believe that having a healthy diet and exercise plan is one of the leading best ways to take care of your own health. I have been testing this theory. The past 36 days I have not had sugar, carbs (very little), or dairy. I have lost a total of 23 lbs and I look and feel terrific. I have decided to go totally organic and I am going to continue to lose another 15 lbs over the next few months. I am far from being in perfect health, but I think the food that we eat is what is causing disease and illness in this country. This has not been an easy task for me, in fact it has been one of the hardest things that I have ever done. Believe me the first week was difficult--I found myself pushing ice cream and cookies off on my family because I couldnt eat them. Strange I know. The statistics say that 80 % of americans are overweight and 60% of them are obese. SERIOUSLY--It is out of hand crazy. How can I help my clients if I myself am eating crappy food? How can I tell them --hello you have diabetes you can not eat sugar it will kill you--IT killed my grandfather, without being able to not eat it myself. So the pulse of my day is working toward better health for myself, my family, and my clients. Taking control of our health through the foods we eat for better mental clarity, more energy, cleaner systems, disease and toxin free. YOU too can have PERFECT HEALTH.

Love Potion
Today I have been thinking about making up a LOVE POTION to go along with my love crystal healing. So what would people want from a LOVE POTION. I suppose for me to make a potion for one of my clients and to have them partake in my love crystal healing--they themselves would have to become lovable being able to look out with loving eyes at everything around them, intoxicating, beautiful beyond words enjoying everything about life--kind of like putting on a pair of rose colored glasses and breathing in the scent of a beautiful rose. Maybe I will just go with a homemade rose oil and call it good!!! Whatever I decide it will be lovely!! Love is in the air!!

I have been just really struck lately by all of the ads for BOTOX. It just really blows me away that people spend so much to get "hide" their wrinkles. Quite frankly I love my wrinkles, I earned them. Don't get me wrong here I do take care of myself and use various creams, but spending hundreds to thousands of dollars a month on BOTOX--seriously. What happens when you stop using it--your wrinkles are still there and then how do you feel???? It reminds me of a book I read a long time ago called Psycho-Cybernectis by
Dr. Maxwell Maltz. Dr. Maltz was a plastic surgeon and he began noting that after he had done the surgery his patients would often be looking at themselves in the same way as they did before the surgery. THEY WERE THE SAME.INSIDE. They did not change. I am so all about psychic surgery--fix your mind first, you will feel so much better and you will shine on the inside and it will radiate out to the beautiful person that you are inside and out.

I have been practicing Reiki since 2002 so for 8 years now I have been practicing hands on healing techniques. The past 3 years I have devoted most all of my time to my practice--Divine Light Healing Arts Studio (previously Divine Light Massage). It was not until today--yes this very day--January 5, 2010 that I feel comfortable enough to say that I am a "healer" and to be able to accept that. Why today I am not sure. It just came to me and I feel good about it. Maybe because right now I really am on my own without a teacher so to speak. Time is really flying by on my end of the world. I had every intention of writing something for this blog every day, but that just did not happen. I havent even had much time to read, although over the last few days I have ordered a few new books. My book Enchanted Love is coming along very slow. My work is busy and I am still running my special until the first of the year. It is a super good deal and a great way for me to meet new clients and my current clients ended up with some also!! I just couldnt say no to them after all it is christmas time. I love this time of the year because when I am doing spiritual healing I just want to stay in the massage room all day! The energy is incredible I think the angels are closer this time of the year or something because it is very beautiful. I am getting my spiritual healing certificate soon and in November I finished my 2 year shamanic healing course. It was not exactly what I expected, but I am looking into taking some classes in the upcoming months with the founder of Shamanic Studies-Michael Harner. I also have been doing some of my own healing work and will continue to do so. Most everyone I have spoken with over the last few weeks have been talking about the changes they will be making at the new year. Someone also told me that there is an eclipse on new years eve and that it is a huge time to make changes. I have to research that one. Relax and Enjoy and stay healthy. LOVE-Just love. I feel like I need to write about the heart and love with Christmas just around the corner and all. This morning I awoke very early and finished reading a book that I had started quite sometime ago. "The Heart Speaks" A Cardiologist Reveals the Secret Language of Healing by Mimi Guarneri, MD., FACC. In the period following World War II, Era II saw the development of what we now call Mind-body medicine. Physicians began to acknowledge that there was a psychosomatic aspect to illness. During Era III "nonlocal mind" brings us all together. (more on that later--that involves long distance healing). Stress is such a factor in heart related illness and that healing the heart has more to do with healing the mind and soul than we ever know. It is as if the heart has its own mind independant of the brain. The book is full of stories some success some not so successful depending on if the person can change their patterns. Where is your heart at? Do you run your life on a high stress level continually? I have found in the eight or so years of doing my healing work that our bodies handle stress in different ways and we have an infiinite mind around our bodies which stores everything we do. Once we start to age we aren't as able to handle stress the way that we once did and therefore the illness sets in with a mirad of problems phyisical and psychological. MOST OFTEN by connecting to the core of the issue and releasing it you begin your healing process. The key is finding where your body is storing your stress and changing your patterns that cause you the stress therefore changing your thinking. Sometimes I also find the people who are the most calm store a ton of stress in their bodies they hide it tuck it away don't deal with the issue just let their bodies absorb it. Then there is another type of person who is super uptight about everything--focusing on all the details of everyone elses life all the while robbing themselves of perfect health. We ALL have parts of our lives that can be polished each and everyone of us. What if just for today you change one small thing in your life and look at it with Love and Compassion. Say loving words and kindness to others--even strangers. A beautiful women inside and out gave me an article yesterday that she wrote about her Dad a WWII Vet it is entitled "Thank the Good Men and Women in Your Life". Her Dad was a great man even got a purple heart, but she did not have a chance to thank him--his anethesiologist did. I was very touched by her story and I believe that by her writing her story she did thank him. It was published in the local newspaper so I am sure many people were touched by it. Live with love and compassion every day and be thankful for even the minut things and your heart will be glad you did.

Unplug The Christmas Machine---

This time of the year has added stresses and I believe that it is especially true for women. Think about what you are doing and don't do things just because "you have always done it that way". I am talking about all of the parties, gifts, cooking, card sending, decorating, shopping, cleaning, donating. We are bombarded by advertising this time of the year. Not only with newspaper ads, but our computers are constantly sending us ads from retailers wanting us to buy their goods and services. Just take a few things off of your "to do list" and see how you feel. What is the meaning of Christmas to you? Think about it. Christmas often times stirs up feelings of years past when we were children and sometimes it is not always pleasant. I suggest getting off of the "Christmas Train" and slowing down. ANXIETY---

I just want to say that the pulse from the world today that I am getting is stress, worry, and ANXIETY about loads of things. Economic crisis, financial crisis, health crisis, family and love issues, the list goes on and on. Calming down the storm is one thing that needs to happen to not let that anxiety get you and pull you over the edge. Massage is just the answer you need to help you to get the relaxed peaceful feelings so that you can refocus your life and block out the negativity going on around you. I have just added to my essential oil collection---peace and calming. Mixed with organic massage oil it feels peaceful and calm--all over your body!

Feet--Gotta Love Em--For some reason I do--So just know when you come to me for a massage--your feet get the attention they deserve. Also--I am adding back my foot bath/scrub before your massage for the same price. Now that is special just for the summer--It totally rocks. I dont know about you--but I wear flip flops--not thongs--LOL--and they are very hard on my feet---so a good foot massage is a must for me. I have had therapists totally forget my feet. :( That will never happen on my table. So call me up and schedule your appointment.

My new space is getting closer to being done. Now I am waiting for what is called a Knox Box--so that it can be installed and that inspection can be done. (It is a fire department thing.) Then 2 more inspections and I am ready to go.

This has been a long haul. Right now I have 2 people on a list waiting until I get into my new space. I am moving out of my old space soon and I will just wait until my new space is ready. Not knowing when that will be I can not schedule appts. :( It is going to be quite larger than my old space.

I feel like there really hasnt been a summer yet and here it is almost July.

What a beautiful Sunday!!! So just to update everyone--the plumbing is done all except the hot water heater, which will hopefully go in today. Now for a light fixture that the electricians couldnt seem to be able to put in---it is an antique. Also the vanity that I bought is not ADA-american disability act so I have a plain sink; therefore the mirror wont go. I mean seriously. I was so excited about the vanity--in fact it was the first thing that I bought. Commerical is very different than single family homes. :O

There still is a list of items that need to be done and appliances to buy, but it is getting closer. I was there all day yesterday and it was early afternoon maybe 2 or 3 and the main sitting room was so beautiful and vibrant with color. It was the way the sun was coming in the windows. Very wonderful.

From the serious side of my business---

Cancer----I have been treating a few clients who have cancer and/or who have had cancer. I am bringing this up because in a recent article in the Coeur d'Alene Press entitled "Going Natural with Cancer", they indicated that ---although some show promise for easing symptoms. Touch Therapies, mind-body approaches and acupuncture may reduce stress and relieve pain, nausea, dry mouth and possibly hot flashes, and are recommended by many top cancer experts.

The use of Reiki is compatible with all cancer therapies--and I highly recommend it to everyone regardless of whether you have cancer or not. I also would never use it as a replacement for which ever main treatment you are receiving for your illness. Reiki (therapeutic touch) is used in addition to other therapies for major illness such as cancer.
